Hi I’m Mel! 

I’m the one women show here at The Silver Finch.

The Silver Finch was dreamt into existence back at the start of 2021. After taking a silversmithing course in Christchurch I fell in love with the craft. I had dreams of becoming a farrier when I was younger but due to having back issues this was never going to be possible. Fast forward 20 years and here I am crafting beautiful handmade sterling silver rings and pendants into existence. 

The Silver Finch hatched in June 2021 in the beautiful alpine village of Hanmer Springs, NZ and with the loving support of my husband I was able to quit my full time job and solely focus on my two small businesses (I’m also a nail tech)
