This boulder opal from Queensland has an intense electric blue that shifts between turquoise and deep cobalt depending on the light. This one has a painterly quality, the blue sweeps across the surface like brushstrokes, with flecks of lighter aqua catching the light. It's bold, vivid  and impossible to ignore.
